Beaches

Punta Cana/Bavaro’s beaches are divided into a number of sections, with extraordinary beaches on the Costa del Coco. All are distinguished by the crystalline beauty of the sea, the fine and white sand, and the palm trees present along the coastal strip.

The beach of Punta Cana, located only 8 kilometers east of the airport, is a semi virgin area and with few hotels, perfect for travelers in search of quieter areas. On the other hand, the Cabeza de Toro beach, even with the presence of some high-prestige chains in the hospitality industry, remains a place that conserves the relaxing atmosphere of the Caribbean.

The Cortecito is another attractive beach north of Punta Cana filled with small shops where you can find a nice souvenir to bring back home as well as a number of small restaurants. Bavaro also offers a magnificent beach known by the same name. Hotel complexes abound here, even more so than in Punta Cana.

Aquatic activities

This National park
